Hotel customers thrash constable for telling youths reduce speaker volume

Four youths have been arrested for allegedly manhandling a police constable at a hotel in Chikhli, after he went there to stop them from indulging in hooliganism.

Policeman Ashok Ware (27) has lodged an FIR in this regard with Nigdi police station.

According to police, the incident took place around 3.30 pm on Tuesday at Hotel Rathi in Chikhali. After getting instruction from control room to go to the hotel as some youths were creating hooliganism and playing loud music in their room no. 305. When Ware asked to play music less volume, the youths got angry and manhandled telling him to mind his own business. In the melee, the policeman’s uniform was also torn.

Based on complaint from Ware, the case has been registered against Immamudin Tayabali Inamdar, Yogesh Ramesh Mane, Mohammad Sayid Tayyabali Inamdar and Vikas Pandurang Dalimbe (25), all residents of Daund. They have been charged for offences like obstructing public servant from discharging official duty, assault etc.
