History-sheeter fires at two places in Pimpri Chinchwad; eight rounds of bullet fired in the air

Pimpri : NpNews24 Online  –   Pune Pimpri Crime | Firing at two different places in Pimpri-Chinchwad has shocked citizens. The incidents took place at Patrashed in Chinchwad and Bhat Nagar in Pimpri on Tuesday around 5.45 pm. The police said that seven to eight bullets were fired in the air. There has been a panic situation in the city following the incidents.

According to preliminary information revealed by the police, Shah Rukh Sheikh, a criminal from Dapodi, along with his two accomplices came to Patrashed in Chinchwad in a rickshaw. He fired in the air at this place. Later, he went to Bhat Nagar and fired two bullets in the air. Before firing, he threatened a person with a pistol to turn off the CCTV cameras and snatched the mobile phone of another person.

The police rushed to the spot as soon as they got to know about the firing. Police Commissioner Ankush Shinde visited the spot. A search has been launched for the accused based on the CCTV footage. The reason for the firing could not be known. Pimpri police, Chinchwad police, Anti Gangster Squad, Crime Branch Unit have reached the spot.

Meanwhile, police personnel were deployed at various places in the city on Mahaparinirvana Divas. Still, there have been incidents of firing in broad daylight. A few days ago, a criminal was shot dead. The incidents of firing are increasing in the city.
