Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij will get corona vaccine shot today, is taking part in third phase trial

New Delhi : Phase III trials of the corona vaccine will begin in Haryana from Friday (November 20). Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij will be given the vaccine under the supervision of Rohtak PGI experts and Health Department at 11 am on Friday morning at the Civil Hospital in Ambala. Health Minister Anil Vij has voluntarily participated in the trial of covaxin. Let them know that they will be given a dose of covaxin drug from Hyderabad-based pharma company Bharat Biotech.

Trial will start in Rohtak, Hyderabad and Goa
The third phase of the covaxin trial will start from PGIMS Rohtak, Hyderabad and Goa. Under this, 200 volunteers in all three institutions will be given vaccine doses from Friday. This dose will be of 6 mg. The second dose will be given 28 days after the first dose and the antibodies will be tested in their body after 48 days.

On getting the right result, this dose will be given to a total of 25,800 volunteers in 21 identified institutions across the country. This information was given by Dr. OP Kalra, Vice Chancellor of PGI on Wednesday. He said that the risk of covaxin is very low. In the research so far, two volunteers have experienced mild fever and pain where the vaccine shot is given. All our volunteers are healthy and none have been reported to have corona yet.
