GST Council Meeting on 14 March, These Products Including Mobile, Clothes can be Cheap

New Delhi : Indians can get good news amid rising inflation in the country. It is reported that the Goods and Services Tax (GST Council) meeting, chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, is scheduled to take place on 14 March. In which products like clothes, mobile phones and slippers can be cheap. For a long time there was talk of reducing the GST rates of all these products, which can be implemented in the meeting on 14 March.

Currently, there is a 12 percent duty on cellular mobile phones, while GST is 18 percent on some of its raw materials. In the case of shoes-slippers, the council had cut down on a product worth Rs 1,000 in June last year to 5 per cent. At the same time, GST is 18 percent on shoes and slippers. This leads to difficulty in claiming and issuing refunds by exporters.

With this, the system of filing new returns and e-invoices can be eliminated in the GST Council meeting to be held on 14 March. Not only this, deficiencies related to operations on the GST network portal can also be discussed in this meeting.
