Government’s efforts to combine development and welfare: CM Eknath Shinde

Pune: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasized the government’s commitment to blending development with welfare during his visit to Bhimashankar for prayers. On the occasion, he expressed his wish for the happiness and satisfaction of every citizen. CM Shinde, along with MP Shrikant Shinde, former MP Shivajirao Adharao Patil, and Sharad Dada Sonawane, visited Bhimashankar on the fifth and final Shravani Monday for darshan at Sri Kshetra Bhimashankar.

Despite challenging weather conditions, CM Shinde, who has been visiting Bhimashankar annually for the past 20 years, arrived by helicopter at Landewadi. The area was shrouded in thick fog and rain, but this did not deter him from making the pilgrimage. At the temple, Deputy Executive Trustee Madhukar Gawande offered prayers on behalf of the Chief Minister. Subsequently, a special prayer ceremony was conducted by the Brahmins of Bhimashankar. During the visit, Temple President Suresh Kodre presented several suggestions, including the need for bathing facilities for devotees near Jnanavyapi Kunda.

In his address, CM Shinde stated, “Maharashtra is the most progressive state in the country. The government is actively implementing welfare schemes such as Ladki Bahin, Chief Minister’s Annapurna Yojana, free electricity for farmers, and free higher education for girls. If the people and Bhimashankar bless me, I hope to return as Chief Minister during the month of Shravan next year. The government is committed to providing all necessary facilities for devotees at Bhimashankar and will fulfill all the demands raised by the trustees and villagers.”

When asked about his future association with Adharao Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister replied, “Wherever Adharao Patil is, he is with me.”
