Puneites had demanded that the 40 per cent rebate in property tax which was being given by the PMC for properties where the owners were staying but which had been stopped in 2018, should be re-started. A meeting was held with CM Eknath Shinde and it was decided that the rebate would be continued. A proposal would be tabled in next cabinet meeting to be held and would be approved. The decision taken by the state government has provided a big relief for Puneites. What is special is that the rebate was withdrawn by Fadnavis when he was the CM.

The meeting held under the chairmanship of CM Eknath Shinde was attended by Deputy CM Fadnavis, Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil, MLA Madhuri Misal, Sunil Tingre, Chetan Tupe, Siddharth Shirole, Siddharth Shirole, Murlidhar Mohol, Nana Bhangire, Yogesh Tilekar, Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar and Deputy Municipal commissioner Ajit Deshmukh.
