Girl dies by suicide after her lover refuses to marry her; FIR registered against NDA employee

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Pune Crime News | A girl who used to come for taking tuition was lured by a man who told her that he loved her and promised to marry her and when he refused to marry her, she died by suicide by hanging herself. (Pune Crime News)


The deceased has been identified as Priyanka Yadav (21), a resident of Uttam Nagar. The Uttam Nagar police have registered an FIR against Gurinder Singh, a resident of NDA quarters.


The deceased’ brother Prashantkumar Dilip Yadav (25), a resident of Uttam Nagar, has lodged a complaint (44/23). The incident took place at the complainant’s residence on March 25 at 10.30 am.


According to the police, the complainant’s sister Priyanka was studying MCom in BMCC College. She was taking the tuition of children of two army officials in NDA for a year. On March 25, she went to the bathroom at 10.30 am to have a bath. Since she did not come out for a long time, her mother knocked on the door but she did not respond. When the complainant broke open the door, they saw that she had hanged herself to an iron angle.


The police found a letter in the bathroom. It stated that she was in a relationship with Gurinder Singh since seven months. He had told the deceased that he did not like his wife and promised to marry her after divorcing her. However, when the deceased asked him about marriage, he refused to marry her. The letter stated that this left her with no other option but to die by suicide. After seeing the deceased’ photo with the accused, it was confirmed that she used to go to his house to teach his children.


The police have registered an FIR and API Chawre is probing the case.
