“Germany different from other countries for higher education” sad by ‘Devi Arand’, Director of DAAD Information Centre, Pune. She was giving a presentation on ‘Study in Germany’ in an event organized by the German Section of Savitribai Phule Pune University, at Nivara Vridhhashram hall, Navi Peth, Pune.  “Germany is a land of ideas. Germany has many different kinds of universities with excellent quality. Our DAAD information center provides information about Study and Research in Germany.” She said in this programme. By this presentation, students got information like- How Germany is different from other countries for higher education…What are the opportunities and benefits of learning in Germany…

The German Section of Savitribai Phule Pune University has organized a ‘Welcome Function’ to welcome all the students in the new academic year, an evening of August 31. The Rank holders of last year are given prizes and teachers are felicitated in this programme. The head of the German Section Prof Sunanda Mahajan along with some part-time teachers was the host of the programme and Frau Anen from Gottingen, Germany was the chief guest.

The Chief guest of the programme Frau Marilena Annen while sharing her experience in India, talked about funny things in India, and also shared her initial days experience in India. She said, “The people are really helpful and if you talk about German language learning students, they are fabulous and always seems enthusiastic to learn new things!”

Judge orders wear dress code

Students from different courses like Master of Arts in German language, Certificate course and Intensive certificate course in German language, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in the German language were present for this programme. As well as there were some foreign students, who came here through the students’ exchange program. Some of them started teaching the German language at Savitribai Phule Pune University’s foreign language department. They also shared their experience of day to day life in India.

Some students present German songs and they were preparing for it from so many days.

As they were very enthusiastic about this event. The program was started by doing felicitation of German language teachers. Then Runanee Varunjikar one of the German language teachers from GC-5 batch conducted a quiz competition for students.

The German Language teacher, Gauri Bramhe said that “I always like to participate in this program every year, as I get the chance to meet my old students as well as to welcome new students. After teaching them for the whole year, they become like my family. Actually, I wait for this programme!”

Apoorva Adavnt and Radhika Marathe did anchoring for this event and Runanee Varunjikar gave the vote of thanks.
