Infamous gangster Gajanan Marne released from Nagpur jail

Nagpur : NpNews24 OnlineNotorious criminal of Pune Gajanan Marne had been sent to the Nagpur Central Jail under the MPDA Act. The Pune Rural Police had taken action against Marne under the MPDA Act. Since his term is over, he has been released from Nagpur prison, said Advocate Vijay Singh Thombre. Marne had been detained initially in the Yerwada Jail but later, he was transferred to Nagpur.

 

Marne had been released from the Taloja jail after he was acquitted in two murder cases. The members of his gang gathered in huge numbers outside the jail illegally and set off firecrackers. They also raised slogans and terrorised local residents. This incident had taken place on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway near the Urse toll naka. Cases were registered against him and his aides at Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad and Pune Rural areas.

 

After he was released from Taloja jail, hundreds of his supporters gathered outside the jail. They took out a huge procession after keeping the status of ‘Maharashtracha King’. More than 500 four-wheelers took part in the procession. Action had been taken against Marne and his aides under MCOCA in the Pappu Gawde and Amol Badhe murder case in 2014. Marne was in jail since then but he had come out of jail after being released. Now, he will be out of jail after almost eight years.
