Former Karnataka Chief Minister K Siddaramaiah Tested Positive For Covid-19

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka chief minister K Siddaramaiah tested positive for Covid-19, the latest addition to a list of politicians. In a tweet, Siddaramaiah said: “I have been tested positive for Covid19 and also been admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors as a precaution. I request all those who had come in contact with me to check out for symptoms & to quarantine themselves.”

Earlier Yediyurappa current chief minister of the Karnataka had announced on Twitter yesterday that he had tested positive for the disease.

“I have tested positive for coronavirus. Whilst I am fine, I am being hospitalised as a precaution on the recommendation of doctors. I request those who have come in contact with me recently to be observant and exercise self-quarantine,” Yediyurappa said in his post.

According to hospital sources, the chief minister was cheerful in the morning and spoke to some family members on phone. Yediyurappa’s staff members will be tested for coronavirus. The Karnataka chief minister had also met state chief secretary Dr Kasturirangan who had authored the National Education Policy. Yediyurappa had also felicitated the Kasturirangan at an event.
