Former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan Tests Corona Positive

Mumbai : The number of corona victims in Maharashtra state is constantly increasing. It has also come to light that a minister in the Thackeray government and Congress leader Ashok Chavan has also tested positive for corona. He will soon be brought to Mumbai for treatment. An official announcement has not yet been made. The number of corona victims in the state has exceeded 50,000 today.

Ashok Chavan, the Public Works Minister in the Thackeray government, has contracted corona. Before Chavan, NCP leader and Housing Minister Jitendra Awhad was hit by corona. Initially, Awhad ignored Corona’s symptoms. He was later treated at a hospital in Thane. Some of the security personnel who came in contact with Awhad were also infected with the corona. A few days ago, Awhad was cured from Corona and returned home.

Earlier in April, a tea vendor near Matoshri Bungalow – the residence of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, was infected with corona. Security guards on duty near Matoshri area had visited the tea stall. As a result, more than a hundred police personnel and SRPF personnel were quarantined when news broke that a tea vendor had been corona positive.
