FOB at Pune railway station to be re-opened soon; Structural audit of bridge completed

PUNE: The Foot Over Bridge (FOB) at the Pune railway station which is closed over safety of passengers, is going to be re-opened soon. Because the FOB was closed, the passengers were facing a tough time while going to other platforms. Some days ago, senior railway officers had conducted a structural audit of the bridge and they found some defects. After necessary repairs are carried out, the bridge will be opened for the passengers.

Since a few days, the Pune railway station has been heavily crowded because the approach roads to the platforms are proving inadequate. Because the FOB is closed, senior citizens and the elderly are finding it difficult to go to different platforms. They are not able to use the escalators leading to accidents.
