Five women from catering staff killed, 13 seriously injured in accident on Pune-Nashik highway
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | A speeding car hit a group of women crossing the road. In this incident, five women died and 13 people were seriously injured. The accident happened on Monday night around 10:45 pm on Pune-Nashik Highway at Kharpudi Phata in Shirori area near Rajgurunagar. The car was going at a high speed in the lane coming from Pune. In the terrible accident, two women died on the spot while three women died during treatment at hospital. (Pune Crime News)
The deceased women have been identified as Sunanda Satwa Gajeshi, Sushila Vaman Dedhe from Ramtekdi Shantinagar, Indubai Kondiba Kamble from Kirkatwadi, Sinhagad Road, Sairabai Prabhu Waghmare from Hadapsar. Shobha Rahul Gaikwad, Sarika Devkar, Vaishali Dhotre, Shobha Shinde are seriously injured and they are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The victims had come to the marriage hall near the accident site for catering. All these women got down at Shiroli from a PMPML bus from Swargate. on Tuesday. They were crossing the road. A white car coming from Pune hit the group of women.
After the car hit, women started screaming in the dark at night. The injured were admitted to Chandoli Rural Hospital, four to five private hospitals in Rajguru Nagar area. Shivani Kailas Mane from Swargate lodged a complaint at the Khed police station. The police have registered an FIR against the unidentified driver.
