FIR registered against BJP leader Ganesh Bidkar
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The Samarth police have registered an FIR against BJP leader Ganesh Bidkar and three others for abusing and beating up people who were preventing distribution of money to voters. Faiyyaz Kasam Shaikh (38), a resident of Mangalwar Peth, has lodged a complaint (116/23) at the Samarth police station. Accordingly, an FIR has been registered against Ganesh Bidkar, Mayur Chavan, Naeem Shaikh and Bala Shaikh. The incident took place at Ayesha Complex in Mangalwar Peth at 2 pm. (Pune Crime News)
According to the police, the complainant is former chairman of Pune Cantonment electoral constituency and was moving around at Maldhakka Chowk with his friend Yakub Bashir Shaikh. He came to know that BJP activists were distributing money at Ayesha Complex and he went there to confirm the news.
He saw that Ganesh Bidkar was talking with Mayur Chavan, Naeem Shaikh and Bala Shaikh. There was an orange bag and slips of voters and some money in it. Faiyyaz Shaikh asked Bidkar whether he was distributing money. Bidkar and others abused Shaikh and kicked him and escaped. Congress activists had gathered in large numbers at the Samarth police station. The police registered an FIR and API Mali is probing the case.
