FIR Against 5 Including Baba Ramdev, Allegations of Misleading About Coronil

New Delhi : Since the launch of the Coronavirus medicine, Baba Ramdev and his company Patanjali are under question. An FIR has been lodged against Baba Ramdev and 4 others in the Rajasthan capital Jaipur. This case has been filed for misleading propaganda about coronil as a drug of coronavirus.

The five people against whom a case has been registered in Jaipur on charges of misleading propaganda about coronil as a corona drug include the names of Ramdev and Balakrishna of Patanjali.

This FIR was filed at Jyotinagar police station in Jaipur on Friday. Apart from Yogguru Ramdev and Balakrishna in the FIR, scientist Anurag Varshney, Chairman of NIMS, Dr. Balbir Singh Tomar and Director Dr. Anurag Tomar has been accused.

Sudhir Kumar Upadhyay, the police station in-charge of Jyotinagar,said, “Yes, an FIR has been lodged against Ramdev, Balakrishna, Dr. Balbir Singh Tomar, Dr. Anurag Tomar and Anurag Varshney, a scientist from Patanjali. An FIR has been registered in the case of misleading publicity of Coronil.

Advocate Balram Jakhar, who lodged the complaint, said, “An FIR has been lodged against five people including Baba Ramdev in the case of misleading propagation of Coronil.” The FIR has been registered under various sections including Section 420 of the IPC.

Patanjali claimed to have tested the coronil drug in NIMS Jaipur. Dr. BS Tomar, Chairman and Chancellor of NIMS, said on Thursday, “We had all the necessary permissions to test patients. Permission was taken from CTRI, a body of ICMR, before the test. I have documents of this.”

He said that “100 patients were tested in NIMS, Jaipur. As a result, 69% of patients were cured in 3 days. 100% patients were cured in 7 days”. Coronil should be promoted as an immunity booster or medicine. He said that we had informed the Health Department of the Government of Rajasthan on June 2 in this regard.
