A quarrel which happened at public tap has been finally solved after the span of 23 years in court.

It is said that a wise man should never step in court because no can predict that how much time the court will take to solve the case and such incident happened in Pune as a case was solved after 23 years.

In this case, a woman was released on a one-year good behaviour in jail and the result was given by the court of first class magistrate Gajanan Nandanwar.

Parvati Dashrath Gaikwad (59) resident Chandan Nagar Kharadi was released. Mangal Anant Kamble (resident of Chandan Nagar, Kharadi) had lodged a complaint with Yerawada Police Station. A case was also registered against Kavita Sanjay Gholap but she still absconding in this crime. The functioning of this case was done by Public Prosecutor Vaman Koli. The trial took 23 years to solve.

This incident happened on October 28, 1995. The women who lodged complaint Mangal Kamble against Parvati and Kavita were all neighbours. They had quarrel because stones were placed near Mangal’s house.

On the day of incident at 6pm, Mangal had gone to water pump to fill water. At that time Kavita and Parvati were also present. Kavita started quarrelling with Mangal. Both the offender Kavita and Parvati started abusing Mangal. During this quarrel Mangal’s hand was bitten by both the offender.

After which Mangal lodged the complaint against Kavita and Parvati. The case passed for 23 years. During the hearing, Parvati’s age and as no other complaint was filed against her after this case was also taken into consideration. She was released on the ground of her good behaviour. This case was assisted in court proceedings by Police Constable Rahul Shinde and Police Constable S.B. Sodkar.
