Famous Shamlaji temple closed for the first time in history on the day of Dev Diwali

Aravalli : Today the whole country is celebrating Dev Diwali on Kartak Sud Purnima. On this day, people start the day by worshiping in the temples. Good deeds are also started from today. Every year on the day of Kartik Purnima, thousands of devotees visit the pilgrimage site Shamlaji in Aravalli district. But this year the Shamlaji temple is closed for the first time in history on the day of Kartik Purnima due to the corona epidemic.

The temple is closed to devotees on the day of Kartik Purnima to prevent large numbers of people from gathering at the temple in view of the ever-increasing cases of the coronavirus. This decision has been taken by the trustees of the temple. Thus, for the first time in history, the Shamlaji temple is closed on this day.

On the day of Kartik Purnima, a fair is held in the famous Shamlaji temple. On this day, millions of devotees arrive for darshan. Devotees bathe in the holy Nagdhara Kund located at the foothills of Meshwo Dam and pay homage to Shamlaji. But the temple has been closed this year because of Corona.

Police have been deployed at the temple and Nagdhara Kund in Shamlaji. Dev Diwali will be celebrated in the temple today only in the presence of the priest and the chief.
