Famous lawyer caught in ‘Dirty Picture’ scandal in Pune, FIR registered

Np News 24 Pune, September 24, 2019 : An FIR has been registered with Sangvi police station under Pimpri Chinchwad police against a lawyer, his woman client and their accomplice, for allegedly installing spy camera in a room and them filming a woman having sex with her friend.

The accused had shown the video to woman’s friends and also threatened her friend to make the video viral, if huge ransom money was not paid.

According to police, the incident took place since 2016 at a bungalow in Rakshak society in Pimple Nilakh. The accused had made several videos of the woman having sex with consent, thus violating her privacy.

Police have booked advocate Abhijit Sarvate, his client Manasi Kher and her unidentified accomplice who helped in installing the camera in the bedroom of the bungalow.

They have been charged for offences under sections 354 (Voyerism), 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication), 120 (Concealing design to commit offence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act.

Advocate Abhijit Sarwate is a famous lawyer in Pune and has an office on Prabhat Road. This incident has rattled the lawyer community in Pune.
