‘Fake’ policeman tries to extort Rs one lakh from spa centre owner

Pimpri : NpNews24 OnlinePune Crime |  A man tried to extort Rs one lakh from the owner of a spa massage centre by pretending to be a policeman. The accused issued a threat that he will make the video viral and accepted a part of the money. This shocking incident took place in Pimple Saudagar area of Pimpri Chinchwad on Monday at 3.50 p.m. The police have arrested the accused. (Pune Crime)

 

The accused has been identified as Vishal Kailas Jaunjale (28), a resident of Hinjawadi road, Shinde Vasti, Marunji, Pune. Avinash Shantaram Shinde (26), a resident of Daulat Plaza, Kopar Ali, Lohegaon, Haveli taluka) has filed a complaint at the Wakad police station.

 

According to the information given by API Sambhaji Jadhav, the accused Vishal Jaunjale works as a real estate agent while Shinde has a spa massage centre at Kokne Chowk at Pimple Saudagar. The accused Vishal told him that he was a policeman and told him to give one lakh for not taking action against irregularities at the centre. He also threatened that he will make some videos viral if the money is not given to him.

 

Shinde threatened to malign the reputation of the spa and the employees and accepted Rs 5,000 cash and Rs 1,000 through the online mode. Shinde demanded Rs 70,000 from the complainant. He issued a threat that he will make the videos viral and take action by informing other policemen and demanded more money.
