The Central Water and Power Research Station (CWPRS), under Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation (MoWR, RD & GR) has been serving the nation, since the year 1916, rendering its services through hydraulic research in the development of Water Resources and Coastal Engineering projects.

Almost all important Irrigation, Hydropower, Water Supply, Navigation and Port projects have imprints of this institution. CWPRS has carried out over 5600 research studies and technical reports and contributed immensely in Nation Building through research.

CWPRS in association with Indian Society for Hydraulics (ISH), a technical, educational and non profitery voluntary organization, is hosting 6th Indian National Conference on Coastal, Harbour and Ocean Engineering (INCHOE 2018), under the overall guidance of Ministry of WR, RD & GR, from 26 – 28th September, 2018.

The rationale of the conference is to bring together engineers/ scientists working in design, planning, construction, maintenance and research aspects of Coastal Engineering and Port Development including related stakeholders to interact and exchange their experiences through invited lectures, paper presentation, panel discussions, exhibitions etc.

It is noteworthy that this will be unique comprehensive event covering all the aspects of Coastal Engineering and Port Development with a focus on Societal, Technological and Governance fields.

The present conference assumes its significance as it provides excellent platform and enough latitude for all the scientists, engineers and stake holders working in the field of Coastal, Harbour and Ocean Engineering to deliberate and present their research findings and perspective on various critical aspects.
