Pune police have been innovative about their campaigns to create awareness about citizens. Netizens’ response to it has already proved its uniqueness. The recent campaign run by the police on Cyber Crime Awareness was also a hit and that to applauded by the Bollywood Director Anurag Kashyap.

During the pandemic, everything has shifted online from schools, offices to transactions hence the increase in cyber frauds.

As a system, the police officials were handling and investigating the cases. And as an authority, the city police also decided to run a special campaign to create awareness among citizens hence preventing them from fraud.

Pune police planned a special campaign which was run for a week on all social media platforms. The campaign named – “Cyber Fraud Ko Permission Diya Kya?” included memes made with stills of the very famous movie Gangs of Wasseypur. Soon the campaign caught the eyes of the netizens. It was also lauded by many including actor Manoj Vajpayee and now Director Anurag Kashyap.
