DIAT ORGANIZED 6TH NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CHALCOGENIDE COMPOUNDS (NC3-2023) FROM 16-17TH MARCH 2023

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune has organized 6th edition of ‘National Conference on Chalcogenide Compounds (NC3-2023)’ during 16th – 17th March, 2023.

 

This conference was aims to bring out the recent developments in metal chalcogenides technologies which are all important to defence sector e.g. semiconductor technology that include high end nano-crystals (Quantum dots and magic sized nanocrystals of binary and ternary and hybrid compounds containing group VI elements from the periodic table). Metal chalcogenides are being used for developing various solar cells, LEDs and thermoelectric devices in addition, to their applications in sensors and photocatalysis. The conference will also provide attendees with unique opportunity to learn the latest technologies and tools in developing related technology effectively. Around 150 participants have attended the conference across from the country.

 

These two days conference consisted keynotes addresses by eminent academicians and discussions / lectures by subject experts. Dr. C. P. Ramanarayanan, Vice Chancellor, DIAT was the Patron of the NC3-2023 and Dr. Jayant Udgaonkar, Director IISER, Pune was the Chief Guest of the Conference whereas Prof. P. K. Khanna, Head of Department of Applied Chemistry, DIAT was Convenor of the NC3-2023.

 

On this occasion, Dr. C. P. Ramanarayanan, Vice Chancellor and Dr. Jayant Udgaonkar, Director IISER, Pune were extended their warm wishes to the organizing team for a grand success of the conference.
