Dehuroad flyover to be constructed by December end

Dehuroad: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- Work of Pune-Mumbai Highway(NH-4) Dehuroad flyover’s construction work will be completed by December 15.

Streetlight, Signboard, pigmental and if minute tasks are neglected, then other major tasks have already been completed. After the completion of these tasks, citizens will be relieved from a traffic jam in Dehuroad.

This flyover is said to be constructed 1070  metres long and by December 15, the construction is supposed to be completed.

According to the Road Development Board’s Executive Engineer Sanjay Gargunde, “The new flyover will be inaugurated and opened for the citizens from the beginning of new year. After the placing of concrete on the flyover, laying of electric wires, construction of cement railings, pillar pigmentation, traffic sign board and along with adding of security flex, the remaining tasks are supposed to be completed by 15 December.”

Due to the construction process of 1070 metres long flyover, the vehicles coming from Mumbai and Pune will be headed from Indian Ordnance Factories, Dehuroad to Cantonment Board’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital and hence will be headed towards the outskirts of the city. Due to this, the citizens will be relieved of the traffic jam mostly in Bazarpeth area of Dehuroad’s old Bank of India and Swami Vivekanand Chowk.

Service Road to be repaired in January

After the transportation which has already started on the flyover, the vehicles coming from service road have decreased in number. After the construction of the flyover, the service road’s condition will be worked upon. The broken roads from both the ends will be dug and by using modern techniques concrete will be yet again laid in the first month of the new year.

Duration of seven months increased

This construction work is been carried out by Messrs T&T Infrastructure Ltd. The total cost for this is 43 Crore 20 Lakh rupees. The deadline given to them was from December 1, 2016, to May 31, 2018, but due to various reasons the progress of work was slow and now a deadline of maximum 7 more months are given to them.
