Dahi Handi celebration – Mundhwa police seize DJ music system for noise pollution

Dahi Handi was celebrated all over Maharashtra with great pomp and show on Monday. Amidst of all the fun, in an incident, officials from Mundhwa police station under Pune city police seized DJ music system during Dahi Handi celebration on BT Kawde road, for allegedly creating noise pollution.

The action was taken around 11 pm by a team led by senior police inspector Anil Patrudkar of Mundhwa police station.

On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmasthmi, Akhil Kawde Dahi Handi Utsav Morya Chowpaty group had organised Dahi Handi celebration. However they were loud music with volume more than permissible limit. Therefore, the music system was seized.
