Cyclone Nisarga Hits Maharashtra’s Coastal Areas at Speed of 120 kmph, Strong Wind & Heavy Rain in Many Areas

 

 
Mumbai : Cyclone Nisarga has hit the coastal areas of Maharashtra. The storm has hit the coast of Alibag in Mumbai. According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone has hit at a speed of about 120 km per hour. Most areas of Mumbai are raining with strong winds. Red alert is going on in most areas of Mumbai and Gujarat.

Hurricane Nisarg has hit the coast of Alibaug. Alibaug is raining heavily with strong winds. According to the Meteorological Department, landfall will take about 3 hours to complete. Trees have fallen in many places with strong winds and rain. People are being instructed to stay in homes amidst strong wind and rain. At the same time, people have been prevented from going to the coastal areas.

Movement stopped on Bandra-Worli Sea Link
Traffic movement on the Bandra-Worli sea link has been stopped in view of the storm. 21 teams of NDRF have been deployed in Maharashtra. Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri are facing heavy rain with strong winds. In such a situation, people have been advised not to come out of the houses.
