Cyber crooks cheat garage owner of ₹25.5 lakhs

A 38-year-old garage owner has lodged a complaint at the cyber police station and an FIR has been registered against the crooks under the IT Act. The garage owner is a resident of Aundh.

 

The crooks had sent a message to the garage owner through social media. They had tried to lure him by telling him that he will get good returns by liking videos of advertisements on social media. The crooks had told the garage owner to complete the task. Initially, the garage owner was given some money. Cyber crooks offered to pay more money and asked the garage owner to pay some money. On many occasions, the crooks asked garage owner for money and he paid ₹25.5 lakh to the bank account mentioned by them. After he realised that he had been cheated, the garage owner approached the police. PI Sawant is probing the case.
