COVID-19 Update : Night curfew in Maharashtra from tomorrow

Mumbai : Night Curfew is going to be imposed in Maharashtra, facing the threat of the second wave of Coronavirus epidemic. This time the government has decided to impose restrictions not only on the affected district but the entire state. On Thursday, 35 thousand 952 patients were found in the state. For the first time after the epidemic started, such a large number of patients were found in the state. In the last four days, the number of patients in the state has reached more than 1 lakh.

The Thackeray government in Maharashtra has appealed people to follow the Covid rules, as experts have warned that the lockdown could severely affect the economy. Along with this, the team of the Center has also agreed that testing and tracking should be fastened. The central team has also said to increase vaccination.

The people of the state have been ordered to celebrate Holi on March 28 and Dhuleti on March 29 with simplicity. The government has said that no major religious or cultural programs will be organized on Holi and Dhuleti.

The government has appealed to the Christian community to celebrate Good Friday on 2 April and Easter Sunday on 4 April. The state government has allowed more than 50 people in the Prayer Meet during Holi week from 28 March to 4 April. Also, if there is less space in the church, then 10 to 25 people can attend.

Shopping malls in Maharashtra will remain closed from 8 am to 7 am. The Chief Minister has told the administration that the malls and tourist spots which will become the center of the crowd will also have to be closed by 8 o’clock. Curfew orders do not prohibit activities at night, but people in groups will be prohibited from gathering in public places.

Local authorities have imposed strict restrictions in the northern suburbs. During this time more than 4 people will not be able to gather, non-essential shops will be closed, restaurants will be banned on weekends. Also, the timing of shops has been changed and weddings have been banned.

Apart from this, information has also been given to private offices regarding new guidelines. The offices have been asked to change the attendance of employees. Apart from this, the CM has asked the authorities to increase the availability of ventilators, ICUs and oxygen beds. Along with this, orders have also been given to increase testing.

The state task force formed on the coronavirus has been asked to inform the district administration about new mutations of the virus. The district chiefs have been given the freedom to order the lockdown. However, it has also been clarified that there will not be a sudden lockdown in the state. The public will be informed about it first.
