PUNE : Corruption In Maharashtra Education Department | A shocking news is emerging from the education field. Education Commissioner Suraj Mandhare has sent a letter to the ACB asking it to carry out a probe against teachers and education officials who have been trapped by it.
Teachers and education officials are caught red handed while accepting a bribe. However, they join the service later and indulge in corruption. But no action is taken against them. Hence, Education Commissioner Suraj Mandhare has sent a letter to the ACB seeking a probe against these tainted teachers and officials.
Mandhare has sent letters to all SPs of ACBs in all regions. When policenama online contacted Pune ACB SP Amol Tambe, he said that he has received the letter sent by Education Commissioner Mandhare. The letter says that a probe should be carried out against teachers and education officials who have been trapped by ACB or have been raided by it. However, as per ACB’s functioning, after a person is trapped or raided, a probe is launched against the official. Even before the letter sent by Mandhare was received, the ACB has began a probe against corrupt teachers and education officials in Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur and Solapur districts, said SP Tambe.
It is clear that such probes are being carried out in all zones in the state. Corrupt teachers and officials are a worried lot. Since the education officer has personally sent a letter to ACB, this has sent shock waves in the education sector in the state.
