Congress on GST hike: Modi should not impose GST on citizens’ right to breathe, says Mohan Joshi

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Congress on GST | When the country is in a mood to celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence, the Central government led by BJP’s Narendra Modi has imposed a 5% GST on essential commodities, thus proving that the Modi government is anti-people. (Congress on GST)

The Vice-President of the Maharashtra unit of the Congress, Mohan Joshi, has said in a press release that after imposing a 5% GST on essential items such as wheat, wheat flour, rice, flattened rice, puffed rice, sorghum, pearl millet, jaggery, curd and paneer, the BJP’s Modi government should not impose a tax on the citizens’ right to breathe.

Mohan Joshi says in the release that the Modi government has tasted defeat on all fronts including note ban, hasty implementation of faulty GST and the move to favour some select businessmen has led to the collapse of the economy. There is an unprecedented inflation and huge unemployment in the country. The citizens’ right to breathe is yet to be taxed, Joshi says in the press release.
