Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Chinchwad Bypoll Election | BJP’s candidate Ashwini Jagtap has scored a landslide win in the Chinchwad assembly bypoll by defeating NCP and MVA candidate Nana Kate by a margin of 36,168 votes. Ashwini Jagtap got 1,35,434 votes. Nana Kate got 99,343 votes and Rahul Kalate got 44,082 votes. (Pune Chinchwad Bypoll Election)
Ashwini Jagtap had taken the lead from the first round. Jagtap reached the Thergaon counting centre at 4.15 pm and the activists crowded around her and welcomed her by bursting crackers. The activists were waiting with bated breath for the final result. Barricades had been placed outside the counting centre. The police had stopped the activists outside the barricades.
