Chandrakant Patil’s empty promises on metro work completion

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Metro | The BJP has been merely declaring deadlines but the metro work in the city has not been completed as promised. Pune Guardian Minister and State Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil had promised, in a press conference, that the route from Garware College to Shivajinagar Court and from Phugewadi to Shivajinagar Court would be completed by January 26. However, that deadline is over. There is no sign of work getting completed.

Now, a new deadline of March has been set. The BJP has been merely making promises to people but not keeping them. The Modi government has made numerous promises such as ‘Achhe Din’, ‘Doubling the farmers’ income’, ‘Reducing prices of cooking gas, petrol, diesel’, ‘Reducing inflation’, ‘Creating 2 crore new jobs every year,’ etc. The party doesn’t feel that it is answerable to the people. Its promises are restricted to ‘headline management’. Chandrakant Patil has studied in the same school. Therefore, every time he breaks promises on the Pune Metro, he has no regrets! The promises are related to the development of Pune only for the headlines to be printed. That is why, before making a new promise, he should also accept the new portfolio of ‘Promise Minister’. A wise man does not need to be told more!

After a long-term follow-up, the Congress Party brought the metro project to Pune. However, the work was delayed during the BJP rule and finally, in the month of March last year, the work of barely 12 km of the road was completed.

Patil told reporters that both the metro lines of 33 km long in Pune were planned to be completed by the end of March.
