MUMBAI : NpNews24 Online  –  Chandrakant Patil On Maharashtra Budget 2023 | Deputy CM and Finance Minister Devendra Fadnavis presented the budget for 2023-24 in the Legislative Assembly today during the budget session. The budget focuses on development and would ensure that the state becomes more prosperous. “Sufficient funds have been provided for BARTI, Sarathi, Mahajyoti and Annasaheb Patil Economic Development Corporation. The divisional office of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training and Human Resources Development Institute would be set up at Nashik.

 

A grant of ₹500 crore has ben announced for universities and educational institutes. Deccan College Postgraduate and Research Centres, Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj University, Nagpur, Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities, Amravati, COEP, Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar University, Solapur, Dr Homi Bhabha State University, Mumbai, Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur, will be given the status of a university and special grants would be provided to them. Funds would be provided for the construction of the building of State National Law University at Nagpur and ₹50 crore would be provided for Bhide Wada memorial,” he said.

 

A sum of ₹13 thousand, 613 crore, 35 lakh and 11 thousand has been earmarked for higher and technical education department, he said.
