There is a large number of people coming from Konkan for work or business to Pune. During the Ganeshotsav, these people go and gather in villages to celebrate the biggest festival of Maharashtra. Central Railway has decided to schedule 132 special trains for such pilgrims.

Considering the rapid growing of people on Ganesh Festival, special trains will be scheduled from Konkan to Pune. This special train will run from Zarap in Sindhudurg district from Pune. Reservation has started from Thursday for this trains. The train will be equipped with two-tier air-conditioner, three-tier air-conditioner, 6 sleeper coaches and 6 General Second Class coaches.

Meanwhile, it has been stated that the trains will be connected with the Pune-Sawantwadi Road, Panvel-Sawantwadi Road, Panvel-Ratnagiri, air conditioned third class and one common second class coaches are said to be attached.

Booking of tickets is available for Ganpati special trains to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Panvel, Pune, Sawantwadi Road, Ratnagiri, Jharap, Parnam from all the PRS centers and website www.irctc.co.in on special charges. Normal second class coaches of the above trains will be run as unreserved coaches.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai-Sawantwadi Road Train number 01001 Special train from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (except on Thursday) will depart fromSeptember 5 to September 30 at 00.20 and reach Sawantwadi Road at 14.10 pm on that day. Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Maharaj Mumbai-Sawantwadi Road Weekly Special (8) Train number 01007 will leave from September 6 to 27 September at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (every Thursday) at 00.20 and reach Sawantwadi Road at 14.10 pm on that day. Train number 01008 Special train will depart from Sawantwadi Road (every Thursday) on 6th September to 27th September at 15.00 hrs and reach Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 03.40 hrs on the second day.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Maharaj Mumbai-Ratnagiri-Panvel Daily Special (22) Train Number 01033 will run from September 5 to September 15 which will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at 11.30 and reach Ratnagiri at 22.00 hrs the same day. Train number 01034 Special train will leave from Ratnagiri at 22.50 hrs from 5th September to 15th September and will reach Panvel at 07.15 hrs the next day.
Panvel-Sawantwadi Road- Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Maharaj Mumbai Daily Special (22) Train Number 01035 Special train will run from 07 September to 17th September which will depart from Panvel at 07.50 hrs and reach Sawantwadi Road at 22.00 hrs the same day.

Train number 01036 Special train will run from September 7 to September 17 and it will depart from Sawantwadi Road at 23.00 hrs and will arrive at 12.25 hrs to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.

Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Parnem Weekly (Double Decker) AC special train (06) Train number 01187 Special train will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on every Tuesday fromSeptember 4 to September 18 at 05.33 hrs and reach Ratnagiri at 14.30 hrs on same day. Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Parnem weekly AC special train (08), Train number 01037 Special train will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on every Friday from 7 September to 28th September at 01.10 hrs and will reach Parnem on the same day at 14.30 pm. Train number 01038 Special train will depart from Pernem at 15.30 on every Friday from 7th September to 28th September and reach the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 05.00 hrs on the second day.
Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Zarap Weekly Special (08) Train No. 01039 Special Train will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on every Monday from September 3 to September 24 at 01.10 hrs and reach the same day at 14.45 hrs on that day.

Train number 01040 Special train will depart from Zarap from September 3 to September 24 at 15.30 hrs on every Monday and reach the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 05.00 hrs on the second day.

01421 Special train will depart from Pune at 11.30 pm on September 10 and reach Zarap at 2.45 pm the next day. On return journey, the 01422 special train will leave from Zarap onSeptember 11 at 3.30 and it will arrive at 6.00 in the morning the next day.
