CAA Violence : 4 killed, 50 Injured Including DCP

New Delhi : Protests are taking place across the country over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). In different areas of the country, people are coming together and opposing it. Meanwhile, four people including a head constable were killed in the violence erupted in North East Delhi over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Citizenship Register (NRC).  While at least 50 people were injured, including paramilitary and several personnel of the Delhi Police Force.
According to report, Ratan Lal (42 years), head constable associated with the office of ACP of Gokuulpuri, injured in stone pelting and died. During this, miscreants set fire to petrol pumps in Bhajanpura area. While the tire market at the Kapoor petrol pump in Gokulpuri was set ablaze by demonstrators.
Meanwhile, the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah called the meeting.  Top officials of Delhi were present in this meeting. According to sources, the Home Ministry has directed the Delhi Police to take strict action against the miscreants.

Section 144 imposed at many places –
Section-144 has been imposed in 10 violence-hit areas of North-East Delhi.  In these areas, Delhi Police Flag is marching. According to CRPF sources, 8 companies of the North-East Delhi Region CRPF have been deployed, including two companies of Rapid Action Force and one company of women security personnel.
School will remain closed today
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has tweeted that “Delhi will not have home examinations tomorrow and all government and private schools will be closed in the violence-hit north-eastern district.”
