Builder fires at a man in Sinhagad Road area

Construction professional Santosh Pawar fired at Ramesh Rathod over an argument that took place over a WhatsApp group chat. The incident of firing took place within a short distance from Sinhagad Road Police Station. Builder Santosh Pawar, Deva Rathod and Ramesh Rathod, along with a few others, were having a conversation at Yogiraj Auto Center on Sun City Road near Sinhagad Road. Deva Rathod posted something about Santosh Pawar on one of his WhatsApp groups. This led to an argument between Santosh Pawar and Deva Rathod. Santosh Pawar took out the pistol and fired at Ramesh Rathod. Ramesh Rathod was shot in the leg. The injured Rathod has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

As soon as they got to know about the incident, ACP Rajendra Galande, Sr PI Shailesh Sankhe, PI (Crime) Jayant Rajurkar and other officers and employees rushed to the spot. The police have detained Santosh Pawar. Pawar has a licensed pistol and a policeman for his protection.
