Booking of All New Ducati Panigale V2 Commence in India Ahead of Launch, Read in Detail to Know Its Design & Features

Mumbai : Italian superbike maker Ducati is about to launch another powerful bike in the Indian market. Prior to launching, the booking of this bike in India has started on July 20.

The company is accepting pre-orders for Panigale V2 for a token amount of ₹1 lakh by visiting their nearest Ducati dealership. Customers can book it in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kochi, Kolkata and Chennai by making an initial payment of Rs 1 lakh.

The company also noted that it will soon launch the bike in the country and the deliveries will commence soon after that. Now, if you are interested in booking Panigale V2 and want to test ride the bike then you will have to wait for a while as the test rides will begin only after the bike is launched and not before that. In case you didn’t know, Panigale V2 is an all-new bike in the Italian motorcycle maker’s global line-up and was revealed last year at Ducati World Premiere 2020.

Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India, said, “The Panigale V2 has been the most awaited bike since EICMA and we eagerly waited to bring this ultimate superbike as our first BS6 motorcycle for the Indian motorcycle enthusiast. The new Panigale V2 is a beefy yet compact bike with clear-cut lines that convey power without compromising on the classic Ducati superbike flair. Considering the overwhelming inquiries for the launch of the Panigale V2, we are confident the bike will do well in the market by offering an unmatched Ducati riding experience to enthusiasts who’re looking to step into the world of riding on the racetrack and also to more experienced riders.”

Ducati Panigale V2 : Design
Ducati Panigale V2, in India, will replace Ducati 959 to become the entry-level bike in the Panigale range. When launched, it will also be the first Ducati BS6 bike in the country. Visually, the Panigale V2 borrows styling cues from its elder sibling Panigale V4; it gets twin LED headlamp with LED DRLs, two large air intakes, a tall windscreen, muscular fuel tank, step-up style split seat, double layer fairing, and Ducati signature 5-spoke alloy wheels. Globally, the Panigale V2 is available in two colour options — Ducati Red and White Rosso with red accents — but we are not sure if the latter will be made available in India.

Ducati Panigale V2 : Features
Ducati Panigale V2 gets a 4.3-inch TFT instrument panel which offers all the necessary readouts. The bike gets a six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) which instantly detects the bike’s roll, yaw and pitch angles and feeds information to other electronic interventions like traction control system, wheelie control system, engine brake control, and cornering ABS. Ducati Panigale V2 gets three riding modes — Race, Sport, and Street — and the rider can choose between these using switchgear on the handle.

Ducati Panigale V2 : Specs
Powering this entry-level Ducati is a 955 cc Superquadro, twin-cylinder engine that makes 153 bhp and 104 Nm of peak torque. This engine is coupled to a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch and gets bi-directional quickshifter as standard.

Ducati Panigale V2 : Suspension and braking
Ducati Panigale V2 makes use of fully adjustable Showa BPF 43 mm inverted forks with fully adjustable Sachs mono shock with single-sided aluminium swingarm. Handling the braking duties on the bike are twin 320 mm and single 245 mm rear disc brakes with Brembo callipers.
