Blood donation camp held on Rasiklal Dhariwal’s birth anniversary

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  The Vice-President of RMD Foundation, Shobha R Dhariwal, who was speaking during the blood donation programme organised on the birth anniversary of Rasiklal Dhariwal, said that the occasion inspires her to continue the legacy of social work and keep herself busy.

 

Like every year, a blood donation programme was organised this year also. Representatives of various organisations, businessmen, office-bearers of various Ganesh mandals and educational institutions, police officers and others donated blood. On the occasion, 561 people donated blood.

 

In 2014, a huge blood donation camp was held in Pune city and 24,000 blood bags had been collected, said Chairperson of RMD Foundation Janhavi Dhariwal-Balan. The Chief of Balan Group of Industries and Indrani Balan Foundation Puneet Balan was present.

 

Shobha Dhariwal said that scholarships had been announced for meritorious students in medical, nursing, laboratory and pharmacy fields and the cheques for selected students would be sent to their colleges.

 

Famous heart specialist and surgeon Dr Ranjit Jagtap said that today’s difficult financial situation definitely changes and students should work hard and earn laurels in their fields. Dr Bhagyashree Patil, Vice-President of Dr DY Patil Institute of Pharmaceuticals Science and Research Pune, was present as chief guest. She thanked RMD Foundation for helping deserving students. Famous singer Jitendra Bhuruk sang a song of legendary singer Kishore Kumar and earned an applause from the audience. Shobha Dhariwal thanked all blood donors.
