BJP MP on Shaheen Bagh – ‘If Majority Will Not Wake-Up, Mughal Rule will Return in Delhi’

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Tejasvi Surya has given a controversial statement on the protests over the last 50 days against the revised Citizenship Act (CAA) in the national capital Delhi-based Shaheen Bagh. He has said, “what is happening today in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh is a stark reminder that if the majority of this country is not vigilant, the patriotic Indians do not stand up to this, the days of Mughal Raj coming back to Delhi are not far away.”

Tejaswi Surya also said, “CAA is to give citizenship to the oppressed minorities in neighbouring countries including Pakistan, but opposition is preventing them from getting citizenship. The future generations will never forgive this. The opposition does not want to let such issues end, which they use as their vote-bank.”
