BJP holds meeting for Kasba-Chinchwad bye-elections; Chandrakant Patil’s advises activists to be alert

Pune : NpNews24 Online  –  Chandrakant Patil | The bye-elections for the Kasba and Chinchwad assembly constituencies have been announced. Against this backdrop, an important meeting of BJP officials was held at Chandrakant Patil’s house. Speaking at a press conference held after this, Patil said that he will try to get both seats unopposed. Also, “as all the parties have indicated that the election will be held, we have started preparations according to our procedure, we will not remain unprepared,” he said, and added that the preparation for the election has started.

Patil, in the press conference, said that this election will be contested under the guidance of MP Girish Bapat and it will be contested under the leadership of city unit president Jagdish Mulik. “We are going to make strong preparations despite having a stronghold over the constituencies. We will contest the election according to our working method and the core committee will take the decision regarding the candidate,” he said. Patil said that there was no discussion about the candidate in today’s meeting.

“Our party runs democratically. Interested candidates express their desire.” said Patil. “I salute Shiv Sena Chief Balasaheb Thackeray. We all believe that Balasaheb has a great contribution in Maharashtra, development of Maharashtra, protection of Hinduism. So, I greet him and declare that the preparations for this by-election have begun,” he said.

Three committees for by-elections
“Although Kasba is our traditional stronghold, we will not remain unprepared as the election will be contested by the Maha Vikas Aghadi. We will try to win this election with a bigger margin. Three committees have been formed for this bye-election, in which MLA Madhuri Misal will be the head and Sanjay Kakade, Ganesh Bidkar, Hemant Rasane, Dheeraj Ghate are in the main committee,” said Patil.

“The second committee is primarily organisational. All our strengths are booth heads. The Shakti Kendra Committee is the Shakti Kendra Pramukh. Rajesh Pandey, the general secretary of the city unit, is responsible for building our organisational framework. Our City general secretary Rajesh Yenpure will assist him,” he said.

“The third committee has various functions, which is called the election steering committee.
President of Kasba Vidhan Sabha Pramod Kondhare will be the head of that committee,” said Patil.

Candidates will be declared from Delhi
Chandrakant Patil said names of interested candidates will be sent to the party leadership. Three names will be selected and considered. The names will be announced from Delhi.
