Bike rally of Nandurbar’s women police officers held on occasion of International Women’s Day
NANDURBAR : NpNews24 Online – Nandurbar Police – International Women’s Day | The Nandurbar police had organised a bike rally of women officers and employees on the occasion of Internal Women’s Day. Nearly 150 women officers and policewomen took part in the event. The main purpose of organising the rally was to create awareness about child marriage and a programme started by the Nandurbar district police, ‘Operation Akshata’ was also inaugurated. The rally was a brainchild of SP of Nandurbar district PR Patil. (Nandurbar Police – International Women’s Day)
The rally was also organised to create awareness about using helmets. There was a huge crowd of people who had gathered to see the rally. The people showered petals on women officials. Many people were recording the rally on their mobiles.
At 11.30 am, SP of Nandurbar District PR Patil and Nandurbar Lions Club’s Dr Tejal Chaudhary flagged off the rally. The rally covered many areas. Women officials and policewomen displayed placards against prevention of child marriage to create awareness.
Nandurbar district’s Superintendent of Police PR Patil, Addl SP Nilesh Tambe, Sub Divisional Officer Sachin Hire and other district officials, women officers and policewomen of Nandurbar police were present at the rally.
