Big contribution of women in the development of the state – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Palghar : NpNews24 Online  –  CM Eknath Shinde | “Women excel in various fields such as health, education, industry and administration. They have made their best image by giving valuable contribution in development of the state”, said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

 

He was speaking in a women’s empowerment meet organized by Vishwas Foundation on the occasion of Women’s Day concluded at Chahde (Palghar). At that time Chief Minister addressed the present people through video conferencing system. On this occasion, MLA Ravindra Phatak (Television System), Padmashri Rahibai Upere, Collector Govind Bodke, District Superintendent of Police Balasaheb Patil, President of Vishwas Foundation Dr.Vishwas Walvi along with senior officers were prominently present on this occasion.

 

Mr. Shinde further stated that India’s history of independence cannot be complete without the bravery of women. Rajmata Jijabai, Savitribai Phule, Ramabai Ranade had struggled while contributing to the society and today’s generation is getting inspiration from their struggle. The state government will soon announce the women’s policy as a comprehensive model and laws will be enacted for women in economic, social and political self-reliance.

 

“Lek Ladki Scheme is being implemented for girl empowerment. Under
this scheme, yellow and orange card holder girls will be benefited. The state government has decided to provide a fund of Rs 5000 after
the birth of a girl, Rs 4000 after admission in the first class, Rs.6000 in the sixth standard, Rs.8000 after the admission in the 11th and Rs.75000 after the girl turns 18”, informed Eknath Shinde.

 

He further stated that earlier working women had to pay business tax of Rs.10, 000. The scope of this tax has been increased to 25 thousand rupees. Therefore, women with income of Rs. 25,000 will not have to pay business tax. Around 50% discount is given to women in state transport corporation buses. An e-business platform has been created for women’s self-help groups and special fast-track courts have been approved. The state government has allocated Rs 65 crore for this forn this project.

 

“The campaign ‘Mata Surkashit Tar Ghar Surkshit’ (Safe Mother, Safe
Home) is being implemented across the state. Around 4.50 crore women have done their health checked under this campaign. Public hearings
have been completed in 11 districts to solve the problems of women under the project of ‘Mhila Aayog Aplya Dari’ (Women Commission At your Door Step). Hirakni rooms have been established in various places
in the state and total 60 Hirakni rooms have been established in
Thane district” said Eknath Shinde on this occasion..
