Big B undergoes second eye surgery, says recovery is “slow and difficult”

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has revealed that his second eye surgery was successful and he is currently “recovering well”. Earlier this month, the 78-year-old actor had opened up about his first eye surgery and shared with fans that the recovery is “slow and difficult.” He had also hinted at getting a surgery in the other eye.

“And the 2nd one has gone well .. recovering now,” the actor wrote on Twitter. “All good .. the marvels of modern medical technology and the dexterity of dr HM ‘s hands .. life changing experience .. You see now what you were not seeing before .. surely a wonderful world !!”

Big B, in his blog, shared that the latest operation was done to “remove cataract.” He wrote: “A wonderful world… to see what was being missed till now… the colours and shapes and sizes… a life-changing experience… a saviour… Dr Himanshu Mehta and his dexterity with the very latest medical machinery… to remove the cataracts despite the age-related soft tissues of mine…Any delay in these corrections can lead to blindness… so advice… get it done before it gets too late” and added: “And the recovery for the second one continues… if I am writing this it’s obviously working… ain’t it?

The icon had previously written about the difficulty in his sight because of the surgery, which made him spend his days doing nothing.

Big B also thanked his fans and well-wishers for the continuous love and wishes and said he was touched by people who were praying for his recovery and health.

On Monday, Amitabh Bachchan took to social media to share a new poster of his upcoming film Chehre, which also stars Emraan Hashmi in a lead role. Sharing the poster, Big B wrote, “Adaalaton mein justice nahi judgement hota hai, insaaf nahi faisla hota hai. #ChehreTrailer out on 18th March! Watch #Chehre in cinemas 9thApr #FaceTheGame (sic).”
