Open Schools in State soon –

Unlike the Central government having National School of Open Schooling marching on similar lines, the Maharashtra State to have open school.

Maharashtra state Open School Board has been set up by the State Government and it is now available in the State for standard fifth till12 grade and exams can be given through the Open School of Examination.

The State Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has appealed to the schools to apply for open school in the state.

Likewise, Centre, the demand was that the students should have open schools in the state. On this background, the State government has set up an open school board and the state government’s open school will be accessible soon. It will function on the lines of the National Institute of Open Schooling.

In the Open Schools, students from Std V, VIII, X and XII will be able to study and give exams, apart from important subjects similar to regular schools there will be no restriction on the subject. Students will be able learn without any obstacle in this school.

Students can apply directly for the exams. The function of the Open School Board has been started and according to the proposal, centre will be set up in each taluka and two centres in municipal area.

The schools which desire to have centres should make it sure that at least 50 students are required to enrol in this centre. Government has put some conditions and it is necessary to apply for an independent online application. This information has been announced on the state board’s website.

After application by the schools, the Board Committee will examine the schools in terms of physicality and quality, and the centre will be accepted later. The schools will be able to apply till 10th August at 5 pm.
