Anushka Sharma shares NCW helpline number for expectant mothers’ help amid COVID-19

 

Mumbai : The situation of COVID19 pandemic has been quite worrisome in India. For the past 2 months, it has been worse and more for expecting mothers. To make the situation a little easier for expecting mothers needing medical aid, the National Commission For Women has launched a Whatsapp helpline number.

Meanwhile, to spread awareness of this, Actress Anushka Sharma has come forward. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli welcomed their baby girl Vamika back in January. Now, Anushka Sharma took to her official Instagram handle to share the helpline number with expectant mothers who may need it.

Anushka Sharma told in her Instagram story that the National Commission for Women (NCW) has shared a helpline number to give medical help to pregnant and new moms under the ‘Happy to Help’ initiative. The NCW team will be available round the clock to provide medical assistance.

On the other hand, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli recently raised money for medical supplies and equipment through a fundraiser.

They raised over Rs 11 Crore and the couple thanked everyone who contributed to the same amid India’s fight against the second wave of COVID 19.
