Anupam Shyam takes inspiration from actor Pran to play his character

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – Actor Anupam Shyam who plays the character of Bade Papa on StarPlus’ Krishna Chali London is seen wreaking mayhem in the Shukla family and is all set to fulfil his evil intentions on the show. The veteran actor who rose to fame playing villainous roles flawlessly on screen since 1992, sees an inspiration in the iconic actor ‘Pran’.

The actor revealed, “Carving your own niche in the television and film industry is a tough job. I always try playing characters that have something meaningful to offer to the audiences. Bade Papa is a character that is path breaking for me and has shades that keep unravelling as the story progresses. While playing the character, I had only one inspiration while getting into the skin of it – ‘Pran Sahab’.

A trend setter of villainous roles in Hindi cinema and a style icon for his generation, he managed to create a niche for himself in the heart of the audiences. Some of my favourite movies of Pran Sahab are ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Ram aur Shyam’ and ‘Upkar’. There are stark similarities between his characters and Bade Papa like his classy wardrobe, his expressions and his dialogue delivery. Being a huge fan of his, I thoroughly studied different facets of Pran Sahab’s characters and feel lucky to be playing Bade Papa on screen.”

Anupam Shyam’s flawless portrayal of Bade Papa and the character’s mysterious side make it an interesting watch for viewers of the show.
