Pune police employee held for accepting bribe of Rs 5,000

Pune : NpNews24 OnlineAnti Corruption Bureau | The ACB Pune has arrested an employee of Pune police while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000. He has been identified as Dilip Dattu Funde (34), a police constable posted in the Bund Garden transport department of Pune city.

 

Fande had demanded a bribe of Rs 7,000 on February 18. He had compounded a transport vehicle of the complainant for not having insurance and the expiry of the registration and kept it at the Bund Garden traffic department (Pune city).

 

Fande had demanded a bribe of Rs 7,000 for not sending the vehicle to the RTO and releasing it without taking any action. He finally agreed to accept Rs 5,000 and was caught while accepting the money.

 

The action was taken by team of police officials including PI Sandip Varhade, policeman Kiran Chimte, Vaibhav Giri Gosavi, constable Ankush Ambekar and driver policeman Mali under the guidance of SP Rajesh Bansode, Addl SP Suraj Gurav and Addl SP Suhas Nadgauda.
