All Major Stores will Open in Bengal After May 21, Announces CM Mamata Benerjee

Kolkata : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced in the lockdown 4.0 due to Corona virus that after May 21, big stores will be opened in all the places except the Containment Zone. With the announcement of Lockdown 4.0 on Sunday, the central government gave the state governments the authority to decide on the lockdown at their level.

On the very first day of Lockdown 4, the West Bengal government took a big decision that after May 21, big stores will be opened in all the places except the Containment Zone and auto-rickshaw services will be restored from May 27. However 2 people will be allowed to sit in an autorickshaw.

State governments are now opening things which were closed in lockdown in a phased manner. In this regard, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that inter-district bus services in the state will resume from May 21.

Regarding the opening of the beauty saloon, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the saloons should be opened only after being completely sanitized. The Bengal government made it clear that despite the advisory issued by the central government, no night curfew will be imposed in the state.

At the same time, the state government has also announced the opening of offices and Mamta Banerjee said that government and private offices will be opened at a gap of one day.

On the issue of bringing back the migrant laborers trapped in other states, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, ‘I urge all migrant laborers to be patient. We are making all possible arrangements. She further said that we have booked 105 trains in which 15 trains have already reached the state. We will soon arrange to run 120 more trains.
