Actress gave up career for her ill husband, started doing ‘this’ job
Mumbai: npnews24 Online – In the 90’s, there were many shining stars in the Bollywood industry, but some of them disappeared after giving a hit film, then someone claimed for career or for their family, one of those stars is this actress of the 90s, Ritu Shivpuri. You may remember the song ‘Lal Dupatte Wali’ which was the song from the film ‘Aankhen’. Ritu became a star-struck star from this film. The film starred Ritu with Chunky Pandey and Govinda in the lead role. Ritu Shivpuri did many films after this film but all the films were seen in supporting roles only. In that era, Ritu was discussed as a bold actress.
After trying her luck in films for many years, in 2006, Ritu said goodbye to the Bollywood industry, after which this actress got busy with her family life. However, in the meantime she tried to return to the industry, but because of her husband’s illness, she ignored this idea. Ritu’s husband had a tumor in the back, due to which she considered her husband’s care more important than her career.
In an interview in 2014, Ritu said on her return speculation that in 2006 when she returned home after working 18 to 20 hours for a Punjabi film, her husband met while sleeping.
During this time, she could not give time to her husband, for which she was very upset. She felt that in the course of her career, she should not take off her hands from her family because she could not give time to her family. She had said that my husband is a very simple person, he never complained to me about this thing but it started dominating me a lot and then she decided to give up acting and give some years to the family.
She took a break from the film but did not let her talent go. She then started working as a jewelry designer. Ritu dreams of following in the footsteps of her mother Sudha Shivpuri. A few years back she made her comeback on TV and appeared in an important character in Anil Kapoor’s show ’24’. After this, she appeared in a very strong role in the second season of the TV show ‘Is Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’.
