Actor Sonu Sood provided 25,000 face shields for Maharashtra Police, home minister shared photo

Mumbai: Once again actor Sonu Sood has been into news this time for providing a 25,000 face shields for the Maharashtra Police. On Thursday, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh shared a photo with the actor on Thursday thanking him for his generous contribution.

Taking to Twitter, Anil Deshmukh wrote, “I thank SonuSood Ji for your generous contribution of giving 25,000 FaceShields for our police personnel (sic).” The Maharashtra Home Minister also shared two photos with the actor.

Replying to him, Sonu Sood wrote, “Truly honoured by your kind words Sir! My police brothers & sisters are our real heroes & this is the least that I can do for the commendable work which they have been doing.

With the ongoing lockdown, Sonu Sood also launched an initiative and came to the rescue of several migrants during the novel coronavirus crisis. The actor arranged transportation for many migrants around the country, to help them reach their home safely. Along with his team, Sood also rolled out a toll-free number so that migrants could contact him easily and ask for help.
