Action will be taken against women who report false allegations of assault after 10-20 years: State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh

Mumbai : While speaking at a function organized by the Nationalist Congress Party at Ballarpur in Chandrapur Home Minister Anil Deshmukh spoke about Shakti Act. He said that the Shakti Act will be enacted soon in view of the incidents of violence against women. He stated, “But even women complain of intentional abuse after ten to twenty years, majority of which are false. He opined that no law should be abused.
Home Minister Deshmukh said, “Suggestions were sought from the people regarding the Shakti Act. The notice has been received and the law will come into force soon. Although the incidence of violence against women is high, women also complain against men, referring to incidents from ten to twelve years ago. If they are false allegations we will also take action against such women”.
Talking about the leaked chats of Republic’s Arnab Goswami, Deshmukh said, “Arnab Goswami got information about Balakot attack and other incidents three to four days ago. All these things have now become public on social media. Arnab’s inquiry will reveal more information. The central government is responsible for all this.”
While speaking about the new order released by the Home department on recruitment of Police constables, he said, “The police recruitment process will start soon. This police recruitment will be done as per the rules”.
